PTA – Post Trimble Amnesia

I was in a coma for 2 weeks! I had some pretty awesome PTA for the first two years after my brain injury. It really means Post Traumatic Amnesia. I had loads of it! I couldn’t actually speak for 2 years or use my right hand. It was just a fist! Not great, but I’m back to being able to swear with my right hand again.

PTA may last for a few minutes, hours, days, weeks or even, in rare cases, months.

I think mine was at least a year! More like 2,  in reality… I can’t believe it all happened, in fairness, so I can just pretend it never happened. It just feels like a really bad dream that lasted ages.

The link below shows where I’ve gotten all this from –
